Insurance gets a bad rap

While insurance may serve an important social purpose, it can also be seen as a necessary evil that people often buy begrudgingly. Some common negative insurance perceptions:

  • Complicated: it’s filled with jargon and you need to read all the fine print to understand the cover provided.
  • Waste of money: you can pay for years and never make a claim.
  • Slow: takes lots of your time to get cover and even longer to make a claim.

When we started Flip, we wanted to be the exact opposite of this. So, we set out to create insurance people love by daring to be different.
